ResortSub Operations

ResortSub's were designed specifically for tourist operations. The idea being that there are many locations where taking paying passengers for rides can be quite profitable. During each sub ride, a pilot can take two paying passengers, a husband and wife, two friends, etc.. With each passenger paying between $50.00 and $125.00 for a 20 to 30 minute ride, your revenue can range between $100.00 and $250.00 per dive. Most operations will average about 6 to 8 rides per day, though we know of operations doing as many as 12 rides per day. As you can see, even at $50.00 per passenger, doing 6 rides per day, you could have your ResortSub paid off in only 90 days! If you can get $75 per passenger and can do 8 rides per day, you could earn over $100,000.00 in that same 90 days, or almost a quarter of a millions dollars if you had two ResortSubs! Try our concession calculator to figure out your own numbers.

Of course you aren't going to get 365 operating days out of the year, and there are expenses other than the cost of the subs. You will probably want to pay a pilot to do the actual dives. That would free you up so you could just sit on the beach, but you will probably want to be promoting the operation, or looking around for other sites where you could operate more ResortSubs!

If you are interested in starting a SportSub operation but don't have a good location or are looking for just the right opportunity, let us know. Maybe we can help.

As you might imagine, getting publicity for your ResortSub Operation isn't that hard. Because subs are so unique and exciting, TV and radio interviews are easy to get. The SportSub and ResortSub have received a great deal of publicity over the years. Click on this link for a list of the major coverage we have received.
